Line Write-up Process
The process is very simple. It is the details
of how the client's data is collected, controlled and transmitted
that makes this process so efficient.
- The client uses the eQuilltm software for payroll,
payables, deposits, and bank reconciliations on a daily basis.
At month-end, they reconcile the bank accounts and Close the Month,
which transfers their data electronically to an internet server.
They also send a transmittal form containing all info needed for
financial statement completion.
- The accountant is notified by the transmittal that the client's
data has been submitted and is also able to determine that all
information required to complete the financial statements (e.g.,
accounts receivable, notes payable balances, etc.) has been submitted.
As in any assembly line process, it is critical to know that everything
required to finish the job is present before you begin.
- The accountant imports the client's data into their general
ledger software then proceeds with financial statement preparation
and review. Note: included in the client information, received
via the internet, are copies of the bank reconciliation(s), proof
of cash report(s) and the month-end accounts payable report.
- The financial statements are finished quickly and easily and
can be delivered to the client electronically if so desired.
- Preparation of the client's payroll taxes works similarly except
that the payroll transactions are imported into the accountant's
after-the-fact payroll tax package.
